How it works for pet owners
From searching to the end of the stay, and what happens to your money at each step.
You search by city and dates, send a request to a sitter you like, and they have 24 hours to answer. Nothing is charged while you wait.
Searching
Every listing you can book belongs to a sitter who has passed ID verification. Prices are set by the sitter, per service and per dog size, so the figure on the card is the figure for your pet rather than a starting point.
Sending a request
Your card is authorised, not charged. You can ask more than one sitter about the same dates — that means one authorisation each, which is worth knowing before it appears on your statement. Only the sitter who accepts is ever charged; every other hold is released.
A request that goes unanswered for 24 hours expires on its own and the hold is released with it.
During the stay
You get the sitter's exact address once they accept, and you can message them from the booking. The sitter can post notes and photos as the stay goes on.
Cancelling
Cancel 7 or more days before the stay starts and you get everything back. Inside that window half is refunded, because the sitter has been turning down other bookings for your dates.
Afterwards
You can review your sitter, and they can review you. A review can only be left by someone who was actually on the stay.
